San Ramon Historic Foundation
Forest Home Farms is a volunteer-run organization at the San Ramon Historic Foundation that hosts entertaining events throughout the year. The historical farm is located in a 16-acre property and captures a unique time at the beginning of the city’s history. Tours and concerts run by Forest Home Farms give visitors a chance to view a slice of life from the late 19th and early 20th centuries.
Summer Concert Series
Enjoy a perfect California summer evening in Central Park entertaining friends or spending time with the family. Great music, visit with friends and neighbors, pack a picnic and let the kids enjoy the cool grass under their bare feet. Wine, beer, soda, and ice cream are available for purchase.
The Summer Concert Series for 2012 ran from July to August. Pride and Joy was the featured band. Please check the City of San Ramon’s website for the upcoming concert lineup.

San Ramon Valley Dance Academy
Since 1969, the San Ramon Valley Dance Academy has been one of the most respected studios in the Bay Area. The Academy has a 9,000 square foot facility with four studios, including one equipped to provide a complete gymnastic program. Students perform at the Dougherty Performing Arts Center in San Ramon.
Crow Canyon Cinemas
If you are in the mood for a movie, Crow Canyon Cinemas is at 2525 San Ramon Valley Blvd., San Ramon, CA 94583. There are six theatres showing new releases and all the buttered popcorn you’d like.
Crown Billiards is San Ramon’s local pool hall. The dozen tables are well maintained and can be booked per table. A full bar serves players and you may bring your own food. For the avid pool player there are 8-ball leagues Tuesday through Thursday; a 10-ball tournament on Monday nights; and a Straight Pool league on Saturday afternoons.
One San Ramon nightlife hot spot is ShBoom, a nightclub for the Gen-X crowd featuring music from the 70s, 80s, 90s, and popular current hits. Open from Wednesday to Saturday, the club offers specials on Wednesday, Thursdays, and Fridays. ShBoom is available for private functions such as bachelorette parties, birthday parties, and corporate events.
Another local favorite is The Outpost Sports and Grill, which has been a San Ramon staple for 30+ years for residents and visitors. It stays open till 2 a.m. daily. To keep you up with your games on broadcast, the Outpost screens the NFL Sunday Ticket, MLB Extra Innings Package, NBA League Pass, Big Ten Network, and most NCAA games on high-definition flat screen televisions.
If you prefer to play rather than watch there are billiards, darts, and beer pong for you to work through. For dining, The Outpost serves classic American food including breakfast favorites, burgers, sandwiches, and a few favorite Mexican dishes.
